When you need a quick pick-me-up, where do you turn? Inspiration is a great resource for moments when you feel a little down. Sometimes all it takes is that tiny little spark of inspiration to kick you back into gear. It can be found in many places, but you have to be open to discovering it at any moment.

I just tend to prefer a pound of perspiration and the increased probability of success. And of course, I write how to books and related non-fiction. So my worship of the muse is slightly skewed. But still, get inspired is necessary.

Sometimes, though, you lose your inspiration, gradually or all at once. How do you get that passion back? Maybe it started with second-guessing yourself and thinking you went into business or moved to another state for the wrong things, or the wrong reason. Perhaps your higher power is distant, in your eyes. No, you higher power hasn’t abandoned you.

Self-talk is also of considerable value. We all have a little voice going on in our head all day. Use it to talk to yourself (but be careful of doing it out loud in public). Use it to inspire yourself. Tell yourself that you can do it. Think of the little voice as a motivational speaker. Talk passionately to yourself, let yourself go. Pump yourself up with enthusiasm. Encourage yourself.

It’s also important to visualize your goals as if they are already accomplished. Think about how you will feel. See the rewards. Feel happy and satisfied with life. Don’t let the hard work get you down. Thrive on it, and the best way to do this is keep your energy up with good health habits. This will help fuel your motivation. Finally, don’t let mistakes slow you down, and don’t let them depress you, Learn from them and move on.

In trading, as well as in our ordinary lives, what we really want is to be moving towards our goals and we want to be moving constantly. When we achieve our existing goals, new ones will be created.

Maybe fishing is not your thing. You are a shopper. Friday comes along and you know on Saturday you are going to the mall to shop for a new pair of shoes. Excitement about Saturdays shopping adventures fills your heart with feeling so satisfaction and joy. You are motivated. You are ready to accomplish this goal. You are up early on Saturday morning waiting anxiously for the mall to open. Motivation is no problem. You have something you want to do and getting the energy to go shopping is no problem.

Tell your brain what you want rather than what you don’t want and use positive language in the present tense. I am successful, rather than I am not going to fail. I am wealthy, rather than I want to be free of debt. I am a non-smoker rather than I am trying to give up smoking.
