Determining Your Blogging Niche

Did you know approximately 30 percent of the searches conducted on the web are people looking for other people? That number is growing and the list of searches is long. People are looking for old friends, former loves, distant relatives and possible heirs. There are long lost schoolmates, co-workers and sports buddies to be found. Perhaps you want to check up on a potential new employee or someone you met through an on line dating service.

Another place to get easy back links is through local directories. Sure they probably online blogs won’t bring you many visitors. The flip side however is that they provide a local vote that sites well with search engines.

Hosting your site yourself is not really a great idea, no matter what amount of money you’ve decided to invest in it. Design as much as you can yourself, but letting someone else host it will free up some of your time, allowing you to work on other things.

Article Marketing. If you can write your own articles and use the internet well enough to submit them, article marketing is completely free. If you have to outsource it can cost a bit, but not nearly as much as print media. Basically you post articles in article directories. People search the directory, or even the internet, for your keywords and find your articles. As your articles are syndicated, or published in other websites and blogs, you will gain even more exposure. It is a great way to get a lot of marketing power out of one small effort.

When it comes to sharing your online content, make sure that you make it clear, concise compelling and educational. Your goal is to make sure that your audience members read what you are sharing, want to read more and share it with their friends. Viral is a very good thing in this particular medium. Always make sure to have your audience in mind when you are writing and when you are posting. They will appreciate it and your business will be better for it. Manage your content very carefully and make sure that it is all that it can be for everyone involved.
