I often field questions from entrepreneurs that are completely awestruck at the possibility that their product can adorn the pages of a glossy magazine. Or, I see the stars swirl around in their eyes that, maybe…just maybe….one day….they could share their sage wisdom with Meredith Viera and the Today Show audience.
Now imagine that other people (bloggers) start jumping in the pool, splashing around like idiots and start upsetting all the other people. And, these bloggers have absolutely nothing in common with the rest of us. In fact, some of these bloggers promote “unsavory” and even immoral practices and products! They have low or no page rank, traffic from God only knows where, and pretty soon…
You will notice that blogging is taking off like a wild fire. New Motivation keep popping up online and it doesn’t look like it is going to stop anytime soon. Blogs make it easy for people that have no clue about web development to create sites fast. This means that they are going to have good looking sites, but they are going to immediately need something that many will not be able to provide. They are going to want content. Everybody knows that having good content on a site is job one these days. Search engines are punishing sites that don’t have good quality content.
Unfortunately online blogs I could never make that plan a reality. If you are able to make a lot of money from a single blog, I applaud you. However, for most people, it seems to me that is unlikely that they will ever reach their goal. Instead I recommend that you do the opposite.
To get a fast overview of each blog to trust, the Alexa rank should be under one million. There should be multiple backlinks from each search engine and should also have more than a few indexed pages with Google, Yahoo and Bing. Most importantly, the Google Page Rank should be in between 2 and 10. This indicates that Google finds this law blog as relevant and trusted. The higher the score, the better.
Internet marketers write better ads. An internet marketer performs internet marketing, he’s an expert in that field. He knows how to write good copy to produce landing pages that sells. He knows how to design ads with a high click-through rate. Someone not in that niche might just do a half-efforted ad resulting in a lower click-through rate and conversion rate.
These are my top two blogs of the moment, and have been for quite a while. In the next part of the “Top Internet Marketing Blogs That’ll Help You Make Money Online” series, I will look at two more bloggers that have personally helped me make money online.
